Autumn in Oz 2009

The girls and I went to mountains this past weekend with my parents and my sisters family. We rented a cozy cabin and took the kids to Autumn in Oz festival that happens once a year on Beech Mtn. If you ever have a chance to go it's a real treat! My girls loved it and I'm sure will never forget meeting all the characters from the beloved book and movie!

The Gate to the Emerald City

When we arrived at the gate to the Emerald City the kids had to ring the bell for the gate to open. The Video below has Cousin L dressed as the Scarecrow and when he mentions Dorothy and the Ruby slippers he is referring to R who freaked out when she realized all the people were looking at her! It was hysterical!!!! Needless to say I had to stop the video and pick her up to go through the gate. :)

Allergic Reactions Happen

This is what happens when peanuts touch her skin! She did not eat them but something with peanut on it touched her. Can you imagine what would happen if she ate one? This is why it's so important to read labels and take all food allergies seriously! One taste and she could die!

New Family Members

My niece born in May what a chunky monkey! So sweet! The girls and I along w/ Mema were able to go down and spend time with her right after she was born.

The girls fell in love and where happy to play the role of older cousin and helper!
