This morning we woke up to R coughing like a seal. It was a dry barking cough. Croup! So, I called the Pedi and we headed to the dr.s before picking up the new van. We saw the Pedi he gave us some meds, we picked up the van and did a little shopping before coming home. Now fast forward to bed time. J starts crying,"My ear hurts!" You have to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!! We just had all three girls in the Ped's office this morning!!!!!!!!! It's now Friday night and our Ped does not do on call so your one option is ER or Urgent care.
Thankfully I had Cipro drops so we did that, Motrin, Tylenol and now Daddy has her in the recliner with the heating pad on her ear.
When you have triplets or small kids this is just life...

What we did today...
...bought a new van! It's a Toyota Sienna and I love it! We said goodbye to no car payment for the past 5 years. We said goodbye to the Montana. It has been a great van but it was 10 years old and on it's last wheel. It was kind of sad to say bye to the van we brought the girls home from the hospital in but it was so nice to drive home in our sweet new van. It is a mom's dream! And the best part is we got a great deal on it! Ok well that is what we did today!
This would be the girls favorite part...

Tweetsie Railroad for Mothers Day
So, after graduation we headed to Boone for a visit with my Bro's family and a day at Tweetsie. The kids had a great time in the pool but unfortunately it rained us out of Tweetsie on Mothers Day! When we arrived at Tweetsie it was raining but not very hard. We bundled up and were willing to make a day out of it for the kids. We did manage to ride the train and a few of the fairground rides before the rain was too much. Did I mention it was like 40 degrees outside! Cold!!!!! So the sweet people at Tweetsie offered to give us all free tickets to come back another day. So this fall we are planning another trip back with the girls. Here are a few Tweetsie pictures...

It was cold enough for snow but that is rain you see on the lens...

As you can see most of the kids were excited about the train ride...J on the other hand was not sure about the whole idea...
She ended up inside her Daddy's fleece jacket ...
And when the Indians ran on the train she hid! LOL!!!
Fairground Rides...

This picture was taken right before we decided we needed to leave. Notice how dark and yucky it is. This was at 1 in the afternoon. Shortly after leaving it cleared up for like an hour. Bright and sunshine then all hail broke loose...really it stormed and there was a lot of hail. So leaving was the right thing for us to do after all.

Do these girls look cold and tired or what?

Carl Sandburg Home National Park
While I was at graduation practice the family went to visit the Carl Sandburg home which was just down the road from the college. Here are a few pics from their visit. My parents and sisters family were with my crew...

Apparently there was a root from this tree sticking up from the ground and N thought it made the perfect resting place.
