The Lot Post #2

Well, The lot has been cleared and the footers have been poured. Now all we are waiting on is the foundation to be completed. The girls are just as excited as I am. LOL They had me take a picture of them in their "room." It won't be long now!!!!! The last picture is of the girls headed back to the house. I just thought it was cute.

Thoughts on Infertility....

I saw this video *see below* on a friends blog. It brought back so many of the emotions that come while riding the infertility roller coaster! Take a minute to watch Kelley Coffee sing this beautiful song about INFERTILITY.

I know that most of my post have been about the kids or the house but here is a glimpse into what our lives were like before we were blessed with our children.

She dose such a great job in pinning down the emotions, pain, frustration and questions that you feel while facing the possibility of never giving birth.

Our ride with infertility is over but if you know someone going through this or you suspect they are going through this. Pray for them but give them space. Let them come to you to talk about it. Don't say things like this:

  1. There is always adoption. (They know that but have to come to terms with it on their own.)
  2. May be you were not meant to have children.
  3. Try not peeing after you have sex! (people really do say this!)
  4. Just adopt. I know so and so who adopted then they got pregnant!
  5. Just RELAX then it will happen! (I can't even express my thoughts on that one! No cussing allowed.)

I could go on and on with mindless comments but if you are a friend of someone going through this please just be a ear that listens...it's the best gift you could give!

Girls Do Like to Play in the Dirt!

Outside this evening for just 1 hour my clean little girls became the 3 little pigs! They love to sit and play in the dirt. So to have proof here are a few pictures~

Happy Forth of July!!!

So, on the forth we had my parents and sister's family over to cookout. The kids were playing with the sprinkler ring I got the girls. We decided not to put up the pool this year due to building the house. Well, they got board with the sprinkler and unhook the water hose and just started spraying each other. They got board with that and discovered they had made our driveway into a huge mud puddle. So, from ages 4 to 11 they were making mud pies and did so for over an hour having a blast! By the end of the night they were running and sliding on their hind ends in the mud! Nothing like a warm summer night and a big mud puddle!

All the kids had to have baths before they could get in my sisters car to go home but one things for sure....they all had fun! That's what matters!

See the pictures blow~

A Train Ride

Last month the girls were invited to a birthday party for a little friend from church. He was all about Thomas the Train so they had a train ride. A man from our church took empty metal barrels and made them into cars and he pulled it with his "gator". A gator is a southern term. LOL My girls rode that thing for 2 hours! Then for the last 20 minutes all the kids
(about 7) were piled up in the "gator" and the cars were all empty. Needless to say they had a blast!

That night there really was a dirt ring around my tub because they were so dirty. :)
