Happy Red Dye I mean Valentines Day!!!!!!

The girls loved their balloons and cards for Valentines Day but you would never know by the look on R's face. Can you tell she is not a morning person! They then headed off to school for a Valentines party in which they brought home tons of junk! The hubby took me shopping after the girls went to school. He took me to my favorite Vera store and let me choose a new purse and matching wallet! Mega Points for Him!!!! Then when I got home from school last night he had roses on the table with a love letter!!!! I know!!! What a guy. Needless to say the girls in this house had a great Valentines!

Here is a picture of the candy that my girls brought home from school. I mean Holy Cow!!! Can I just say that 100% of this had a peanut warning on the label so I had to throw it out! N is allergic and we don't allow anything with peanuts/or a warning may contain peanuts in our house! First, I just have to ask what makes parents of 4 year olds think you want your kid to bring home a boat load of candy??? Is that what they want their kid to do??? Have they not heard of the nasty affect of RED DYE???? Not to mention the peanut allergy!!! I was nice in my treat bags were a pencil, eraser, stickers, whack a balloon and 1 small piece of non-peanut allergy candy! Some of the treat bags had 10 pieces of candy!!!!! 10 x 3=30! That was just from one kid at school!!!! Ok, I'll let the whole candy thing go for now. I'm bracing my self for the Easter party. :)
I got creative for the Grandmas and Aunt. I made these flower arrangements and thought they turned out quite nice. They loved them of course it may have just been the fact that the kids came to their schools to deliver them in person. ;)

I hope you all had a really special Valentines Day and don't forget about the one who loves you the most!

Bargain Queen!!!!!

Ask my mom, sister, mom in law or my hubby and they will all tell you that if you want the best deal on what you have to buy I can find it for you!!!!! I'm the Bargain Queen!!!!

The Hubby and I went on a date last weekend. I have wanted a freezer for the past few years and now that we have room in the house we went to buy one. Now, the deal on the freezer was good. It was on sale for $472 and we also got free delivery and set up. Now here is the deal part. We live at least a 45 minute drive from the store. I just would not make my mind up about buying the freezer because it was on sale and that knocked it below the free delivery price. I wanted free delivery. So because I would not make the sale finial the sales lady asked her manager and he said she could give us the delivery of $.01!!! Yea, I said sold!!!! Then when she put in our address we were out of the free delivery area and it was going to cost $90 to have it delivered! She was like...."I had no idea you did not live in town!" I said, "You did not ask!" :) Well, the manager made her give it to us for $.01 anyway because she had already offered the deal! So, here is a sneak peek at my new freezer she will be here tomorrow......

Now, for my second deal of the night. I have wanted to get the girls MP3 players since before Christmas. I just refused to pay $40 -$70 a piece for them! That is just too much money. So, I have been pricing them online for months and just have not found a really good deal until our date night last week. While in BB I said to the hubby lets just go and see if they have any good deals. Well boy did I luck out!!!! I found these on sale for $14.99 each!!!!! And there were 3 of them!!!!!!

I was so excited! Do you have any idea what the price of these cute little MP3 players are online at BB???? Well, I do! Right now they are on sale for $39.99 marked down from $49.99! I found mine in the store on clearance from $49.99 marked down to $14.99! YEA!!!!!!

All I can say is perseverance pays off! If you really want a deal just keep looking you will find it!

By the way.... don't tell the girls. These are for their Birthday in May. ;)

Beware of the Salad Bar!!!!!

So Monday night I met with some friends for dinner at a deli in the mall. I ordered a Plain Jane Baked Potato and salad bar. We ate, laughed and had fun hanging out without our kids. Then I headed home. I had to make two stops. I was sick...so sick I don't know how I drove home. I had food poison. I know that had to be it. I have never felt such pain in my stomach. I was up all night and today was the first I've felt normal. It was awful!

Now, I'm not one to post about such gross sicknesses but I do this as a warning. Beware of the salad bar!!!!! :) Those things can kill you. LOL!!!

My New Camera

My new toy I mean camera came today! When I got home from town it was on the front porch! I can't wait to try it out on the girls tomorrow! I've already been taking pictures around the house and it's so easy to use and the pictures are great! It's so light weight and slips right in my back pocket. Now, if it really will correct red eye like it says I will be hooked!
I complained about my old Easy Share so much last week that my dear hubby bought me a new camera! Thanks Honey!!!! I love it!

Christmas Eve Traditions

Dinner & Presents at Mema's

Feeding Santa's Reindeer

Milk & Cookies for Santa
Reading About the Birth of Baby Jesus! The Real Christmas Story!

So this year we continued a few of the old traditions and added a couple of new one. As always we had dinner with Mema and opened presents at her house. Aunt C, Aunt S and Big Mema came this year which made it an extra special treat. The girls had a blast opening presents.
Feeding Santa's reindeer and leaving milk /cookies for Santa were new traditions. We have always read the Luke 2 story aloud with the girls and it will continue to be my favorite tradition!
